Jake has extensive experience before state and federal courts and private arbitration. He has obtained favorable jury verdicts for his clients in cases tried in federal and state courts involving fraud, breach of contract, and trade secrets. He has also prevailed in arbitrations involving discrimination, harassment and breach of fiduciary duty. In addition to his trial court practice, Jake defends and prosecutes appeals and has obtained victories before the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Washington State Court of Appeals and the Washington State Supreme Court. Committed to keeping his clients out of court when possible, Jake counsels and advises on early dispute resolution, crisis management, and policies related to equal employment opportunity, Title IX, protection of confidential information, and noncompetition and non-solicitation agreements.
