Jacqueline Middleton is a trial attorney with a focus on employment, medical negligence, serious injury, and business disputes. She also handles appeals in state and federal courts, and recently prevailed in matters before the Washington Court of Appeals and the Washington Supreme Court.
Jacqueline takes pride in representing businesses and individuals throughout Washington State. She regularly represents employees and employers in workplace disputes on a wide range of claims, including discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, protected leave, and wage and hour violations. Jacqueline frequently advises employees on severance agreements and noncompetition agreements. Additionally, she counsels companies on employment law compliance and represents employers in workplace investigations brought by the Washington State Human Rights Commission and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Jacqueline knew early on that she wanted to become an attorney to advocate for those who have been wronged and injured. She truly cares about each client’s well-being and brings a personal touch to her attorney-client relationships. Her ability to pinpoint key legal matters in cases, combined with exceptional writing skills, makes her a valuable asset to Corr Downs PLLC and our clients.
Raised in a household that included her El Salvadorian grandmother, Jacqueline is fluent in Spanish and is a key communicator with our Spanish-speaking clients. She is a member of the Latina/o Bar Association of Washington and volunteers monthly at El Centro de La Raza’s bilingual legal clinic.
Jacqueline graduated cum laude from Seattle University School of Law, where she was an Executive Editor of Notes & Comments on Law Review. She is published in Seattle University Law Review, “Inconsistencies in Combating the Sex Trafficking of Minors: Backpage’s Deceptive Business Practices Should Not Be Immune from State Law Claims,” 40 SEATTLE U. L. REV. 1107 (2017).
Outside the office, Jacqueline enjoys running, traveling, and experiencing other cultures.
